Carol Ladewig

Carol Ladewig received a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MFA from the California College of Arts and Crafts (now California College of the Arts). At CCA, she was an awardee of the 1991 Barclay Simpson Graduate Award and Exhibition. Her work has been exhibited by the Triton Museum, Lucy Berman Gallery in Palo Alto, Museum of Los Gatos, Slate contemporary in Oakland, Ute Stebich Gallery in Lenox Massachusetts among many others. She was named an artist-in-residence in 2014 at the Kala Art Institute. Her work is held in public and private collections across the United States and Europe including the Packard Foundation, SAP America, and Alameda County Art Collections. In 2001, she co-founded the Oakland Art Gallery presiding as Creative Director through 2007. From 2008 to 2014 she served as Chair of the UC Art Alumni Group Symposium committee. In 2009, Ladewig became a board member of the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley. A past instructor for six year at Diablo Valley College, she is the current Gallery Director at Los Medanos College.
