Pour your heART out, laugh, dance and play at Rhythmix MashUP – Benefit for Youth Arts in a SPIRITED evening of virtual fundraising for Rhythmix Cultural Works’ free youth arts education programs.

Enjoy the humorous stylings of renowned comedian Marga Gomez along with live musical performances by “accordion diva” Jet Black Pearl and singer-songwriter Tracy Blackman. Rock Wall Wine Company’s uber-talented artist/winemaker, Shauna Rosenblum, will be highlighting works from her latest K Gallery exhibit, all interspersed with a few games of wacky dance party bingo hosted by “Ethel Merman” and with special guest Ball Caller – “OH NO YOKO.”

MUSIC & ENTERTAINMENT

Marga Gomez, three time winner of the “Best Of The Bay Comedian” 48 Hills, SF Guardian and the GLAAD Award. She has appeared on Comic Relief with the late Robin Williams, who called her “Amazing.” Since the pandemic she has been performing virtually for the Punchline SF, corporate events and for Brava Theater San Francisco. She is also the writer/performer of thirteen solo plays which have been produced Off-Broadway and internationally. Her acting credits include “The Vagina Monologues” with Rita Moreno and Vicki Lawrence, and a guest role on “Sense8” (Netflix.) She’s often not remembered in “Guiding Light” (CBS) as prisoner number three, shortly before it got cancelled. Her website is www.margagomez.com.

Jet Black Pearl is an amazing accordion diva from the port of Amsterdam. She has performed on more than a thousand stages all over Europe and the USA West Coast while singing, rapping and beat-boxing about slugs in love, criminal gurus and hallucinating butterflies. Her smartly wacky songs sound like a mad hatter’s European gypsy tea party with a hip-hop attitude. Before your very eyes, she creates grooves and loops of flute, plastic bottles, rubber pigs, vocal percussion and harmonies, while squeezing her red accordion.

Tracy Blackman is an award-winning, musical performing and recording artist whose music is described as soulful, stirring and authentic. Tracy’s dynamic and powerful voice transports the listener into the heart of any song she sings. As a songwriter, she pens songs that deeply touch the soul with infectious hooks and grooves melded with a tasteful fusion of blues, pop, jazz and rock reminiscent of Rickie Lee Jones.

Warmly embraced by Blues fans and peers alike, Terrie Odabi is one of the most respected talents in the Blues genre.“Terrie Odabi is easily the most dynamic blues and soul woman to have emerged in the Bay Area since Etta James came out of San Francisco’s Fillmore District in the Fifties. Terrie has a powerful set of pipes, writes terrific tunes, leads a kicking band and has onstage movements that perfectly match the rhythms of her material. Surely stardom awaits her.”

Shauna Rosenblum is a Bay Area based Artist/Winemaker with a BFA in Ceramics from California College of Arts and Crafts and an MFA in Sculpture from San Francisco Art Institute. Rosenblum became enamored with the intersection of science and art through the application of chemistry in the glaze making process in ceramics. In 2008, this intersection of science and art led her to her winemaking career. Although Rosenblum views her wine as art, she has continued to make Fine Art in many forms.

Kim Teevan (aka Ethel Merman) has worked in the event and entertainment industry for over 20 years in many different capacities, including as a member of the Ethel Merman Memorial Choir. She likes to think that her varied experience has been an asset to her event management business, but it could be said that she just has a short attention span.
