The texture of a moment produces that indescribable, special, unnamable quality that elicits an emotional response, a feeling or a vibe. These little pieces of time, place and energy are the fabric and texture of the human experience.
Artist Shauna Rosenblum’s “Texture of Moments” series is a study of human emotion and conscious experience. The paintings are feelings, captured in visual form.
Artist Bio
Shauna Rosenblum is a Bay Area based Artist/Winemaker. Rosenblum holds a BFA in Ceramics from California College of Arts and Crafts and an MFA in Sculpture from San Francisco Art Institute. Rosenblum became enamored with the intersection of science and art through the application of chemistry in the glaze making process in ceramics. In 2008, this intersection of science and art led her to her winemaking career.
Although Rosenblum views her wine as art, she has continued to make Fine Art in many forms. Her bodies of work vary greatly, covering everything from portraiture, to whimsical characters, to still life paintings, to abstract paintings, to small and large-scale sculptures.
Rosenblum’s pieces utilize multi-media such as clay, paint, cardboard, wire, metal, wood, found objects and chemical reactions. She draws inspiration from experiences, thoughts and interactions of everyday life.
