Video Caption: 2009 Recycled Circus Show Friday August 7, 2009 10 Kids ages 6-11
9am - 12:00pm Campers will try their hands at juggling using scarves, bean bags, spinning plates, diabolos and more. We will turn, twist, roll and stretch through the fundamentals of circus tumbling & partner acrobatics. Clown techniques and skits will also come into play. Campers will practice partnership skills, develop self-confidence & coordination, and learn one magic word!
12:00pm - 12:30pm Lunch! Time for eating, socializing & free play.
12:30pm - 1:45pm - Hoop Dance - Circus artist Natasha Kaluza brings her HulaHooping expertise to Spin Circus! Check out her performance at RCW in the 2009 Circus of Sound.
1:45pm - 3pm - Intro to Poi - Alyssa Gangemi gives a modern flair to the ancient Maori art of Poi spinning.
The week will culminate with the Spin Circus Show on Friday at 3pm. Parents and friends are invited experience the circus ballyhoo as our creative campers show off their new skills!
3 - 5pm After care is available Monday through Thursday.
Important Notes:
¤ Campers must wear loose fitting clothing appropriate for physical activity and being upside-down.
¤ Long hair should be tied back.
¤ Please pack a snack, lunch and bottle of water, the morning activities require a lot of energy and hydration.
