Capoeira Carnivale - July 12-16
9am - 3pm Early drop-off (8am) and aftercare (5pm) available, additional charges may apply.

SCHEDULE:
9am - 12:00pm - Capoeira is a Brazilian art form and self defense involving acrobatics, music, dance and more. Campers will be introduced to capoeira through a variety of fun and interactive games and excercises that highlight simple acrobatics/basic capoeira movements/music and singing. NO TWO DAYS WILL BE THE SAME! Activities will be tailored to provide each student a fun and engaging challenge for their level of physical fitness and coordination.
12:00pm - 12:30pm Lunch! Time for eating, socializing & free play.
12:30pm - 3pm - Carnivale Mask Making
Campers will create their own Brazilian Carnivale mask. No paper-plates or macaroni, our masks will be creations to treasure for a lifetime! Details coming soon.
The week will culminate with the Roda de Capoeira, a circle of capoeira music & movement on Friday at 3pm. Parents and friends are invited join our creative campers as they show off their new skills!
3 - 5pm After care is available Monday through Thursday.
Important Notes:
- Campers must wear loose fitting clothing appropriate for physical activity and being upside-down.
- Long hair should be tied back.
- Please pack a snack, lunch and bottle of water, the morning activities require a lot of energy and hydration.
