Let's make some music!

In these FUN and LIBERATING workshops you will learn simple exercises in pattern-searching, voice, listening, timing and flow and discover how to play percussion melodically and melody percussively!

Learn and create in duets and trios using thumb pianos, marimbas, steel drum, harmonium, moon lute, mailing tube zithers, strumsticks, and more.

Music-Making for Dabblers Instruments 1 Each session will have a guest music professional!

About the Instructors
Alan Leon is a creativity proponent, instrument maker, visual artist and yoga instructor based in Oakland..Hehas been Artist-in-Residence at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies for 13 seasons.

Tina "Bean" Blaine is one of the resident artists at Rhythmix Cultural Works. Bean's pursuit of percussion has taken her around the world from Africa to Asia and beyond and inspiration from global traditions and spontaneous music-making has led her to create and perform with mutiple world music ensembles. Currently "Bean" is a member of RCW's house band, Maze Daiko and teaches the world rhythm class Got Rhythm on Wednesdays at RCW.
