Feel the Beat: Family Percussion Playshop Saturday July 10, 2010 12:30-2:30pm Ages 7 & up Kids under 14 must be accompanied by a participating adult Feel the Beat will focus on spontaneous music making for both kids and adults. We will play a variety of percussion instruments as well as use our bodies to explore global beats and rhythmic creativity. The instructor, Bean, is an energetic, innovative musician and performer that will engage you and your kids using improvisational games. No musical experience is necessary and instruments will be provided, but feel free to bring your own! Tickets: $15 in advance, $20 at the door Advance ticket sales have ended, please pay at the door. This percussion workshop will be physical! Please wear loose-fitting clothing & bring a bottle of water. About the Instructor Bean has traveled around the world studying and performing on instruments from Africa, Asia, and beyond. Her unique drumming and sound healing experience, combined with an open teaching style will help you find your inner pulse.
