The K Gallery at Rhythmix presents Small Worlds, a collection of scaled down and miniature works displaying a variety of rendering techniques ranging from collage tomicron pen and ink drawings. Though physically smaller, the works explore the limits of content density and labor intensiveness within a confined space.

In the tradition of Persian and Western Medieval illustrated manuscripts, the smaller scales of the images engage the viewer at an immediate distance, welcoming them to enter a presented microcosm of each artist’s worldview. Though each of the artists create their own world through personal experience and sphere of interest as well as physical psychogeography, they may often find such overlapping and universal themes as occultism, futurism, myth and lore.

The images exhibited by the artists are representations of both individual and universal archetypes within the small world of perception in the mind. Therefore, each piece may become a small world in and of itself.
